Cottage Information

This traditional farmhouse is spacious and comfortable with a rustic cottage feel with pine wooden floors throughout. It has a warm, cosy lounge with open fireplace and the large pine tiled kitchen/diner has every convenience. Upstairs there are 2 double bedrooms with TV and French doors leading onto a sunroom which opens up onto a garden at the back. A twin bedded room and a bedroom with adult size bunk beds. Family bathroom with bath with shower over, toilet and whb, separate toilet downstairs.

Facilities:TV x 3, DVD, radio/cd. Washing Machine & Tumble Drier in separate utility building, fridge/freezer, electric cooker, microwave, night storage heater, coal and logs inc. Electricity included. Bed linen provided beds made on arrival. Cot & highchair on request, stairgate, garden furniture and BBQ. Ample on site parking, beach 4 miles, pub 10 minutes walk, Tesco extra & other supermarkets 5 minute drive. Leisure centre with swimming pool 5 minutes drive. Large watersports lake 10 minute drive, Riding stables 10 minute walk/drive. Pets Welcome -ideal for dog walkers. Smoking outside only.Trail below farm ideal for dog walk. Dog beach 15 minutes drive.

Redruth Area

These ivy covered cottages have a peaceful, retreat type feel about them being positioned at the end of a private country lane and surrounded by lush green gardens and fields. Set on a hillside with far reaching panoramic views all you can see is hilly green countryside, the sea at St Ives Bay in the distance and a vast sky. All you can hear is the sound of the birds.

A six mile circular walk, cycle & horse riding trail crosses the entrance to Hillhead, ideal for dog walks straight from your front door. The local riding stable, just 10 minutes walkaway provides wonderful hacks in the area. Local beaches of Portreath & Porthtowan are 4 miles away and St Ives, Penzance, Falmouth, Helford and Truro are all within a 20 minute drive. Excellent surf beaches and dog friendly beaches nearby.

Barn Owl and the other cottages at Hillhead are cosy and warm with nsh, log fires and woodburning stoves and are very tastefully furnished with natural materials and rustic pine furniture.

Small farm animals kept as pets add to the atmosphere & animal feeding in the evening with the occasional Shetland pony ride is always enjoyed by everyone.

The relaxed and helpful owners live in one of the cottages and give their visitors a very warm and open welcome.
