Cottage Information

This is a cosy rustic 'get away' for two, with open beamed ceilings, wood burning stove and small balcony with far reaching views over the countryside to St Ives Bay in the distance. Accommodation over three levels, enclosed porch to open plan kitchen, pine stairs down to comfortable lounge with 32'' flat screen colour TV with woodburner, cosy in all seasons. From the middle level stairs to dining area with French doors to balcony ideal for sunset watching. The double bedroom with TV, leads from the dining area. The bathroom is on the middle floor with bath with shower over, whb & WC. One minute walk down the lane is the walk/cycle/horse riding trail. Ideal for dog walkers.

Also at this location are Barn Owl Cottage (Sleeps 8), Magpie Corner (Sleeps 6) and Swallows Nest (Sleeps 4) making this an ideal venue for family get togethers.

These ivy covered cottages have a peaceful retreat feel, being positioned at the end of a private country lane and surrounded by lush green gardens and fields. Set on a hillside with far reaching panoramic views across the Cornish countryside and St Ives Bay in the distance. All you can hear is bird song. A six mile circular walk, cycle & horse riding trail crosses the entrance to Hillhead, ideal for an early morning dog walk from your door step, with the local riding stable, just 10mins walk providing wonderful hacks in the area. The central location of the properties is an excellent base to explore West Cornwall, with the local beaches of Portreath & Porthtowan within 4 miles and a little further afield St Ives, the bustling harbour of Falmouth and quiet riverside pubs of the Helford passage all within a 20 minute drive. All the cottages at Hillhead have a warm & cosy feel, with log fires or woodburning stoves, ideal for all seasons, and tastefully furnished with natural materials & rustic pine furniture. Small farm animals kept as pets add to the atmosphere & animal feeding time with the occasional Shetland pony ride, is always enjoyed by everyone. Expect a very warm welcome at Hillhead Farm.
