Falmouth is a beautiful Cornish town with beaches as well as a harbour. From the harbour you can take a day-trip on a fishing boat and there are five beaches to choose from in Falmouth. Pendennis castle sits atop a hill overlooking the coast and is part of a chain of castles built by Henry VIII in the 16th century to defend against the French and the Spanish. The National Maritime Museum is also worth a visit to look back into the history of our relationship with the sea.
