Cottage Information

The well-furnished accommodation provides sitting room with stone fireplace, kitchen area with electric cooker, microwave and fridge with ice box. From the sitting room the staircase leads to the double bedroom (which has a 4ft bed) and separate small sitting area, steps down to the bathroom with bath and shower attachment. Small sunroom at the rear leading to decked sun area. Central heating/electricity included. Facilities: Col TV/DVD. Freesat. Electric fire. Bed linen & towels provided. Sorry no pets allowed. Parking for one car. Garden with access to fields and meadow overlooking Combe Martin Bay available to all guests. Beach just yards from the bottom of driveway. Friday - Friday Changeover. Only suitable for 2 Adults. This property is a non smoking.

Combe Martin Area

Superb coastal setting Saltdene estate comprises of four and a half acres of beautiful meadow land, overlooking Combe Martin Bay and the beach. The beach is just yards away from the bottom of the drive leading to the 16th Century Grade 11 Listed Thatch Cottage know as 'Ancient Thatch Cottage', 'Careys Cottage' and 'Love Cottage', all being of architectural and historical importance, with Ancient Thatch as the main residence. Combe Martin is one of Devon's popular coastal villages with a wide range of local amenities including shops restaurants and good food pubs. There is also a beautiful 12th century church 'St.Peter Ad Vincula' with a quaint and interesting history - The Bishop's Chair in the Sanctuary is claimed to be over 500 years old. Barnstable located on the banks of the river Taw and Yeo is just 11 miles away and has a fabulous leisure centre, old-fashioned market hall and live theatre.

This detached stone cottage is warm and cosy in the autumn and winter and cool in the summer.
