Cottage Information

Ivy's End is full of character stone walls, beams and uneven stairs and has been restored in keeping with its' original charm. The front entrance opens into the attractive sitting room/dining room. Kitchen with modern wood units, equipped with all facilities and door leading out into the south facing attractive patio overlooking owners garden. Ground floor bathroom including corner bath with overhead shower, toilet and wash hand basin. Upstairs two pretty bedrooms, one double room and one twin room. Colour TV/DVD. Wi-Fi. Freeview. Bigbury Area

This charming period cottage is located in the pretty village of Ringmore, just 1 mile inland from Challaborough Bay, and 2 miles from Bigbury-on-Sea. The village has retained its local character, and thatched cottages, and has an excellent pub, The Journey's End set in a quiet corner within easy walking distance from the cottage. The surrounding villages, both country and coastal, also have thriving local inns, serving fresh local produce and real ales. Ayrmer Cove is the nearest beach, reached by a well marked rural footpath, approximately 0.5 miles, and for those who wish to explore this lovely unspoilt coastline, the South Devon Coastal Path will take you for miles in either direction. Challaborough Bay has more amenities on offer, particularly for families, and nearby Bigbury is also a favourite spot to visit, with the added attraction of Burgh Island, an off-shore island with hotel and the 14th century Pilchard Inn reached by Sea-Tractor at high tide!
