When visiting Devon, you are sure to have a family holiday full of fun and adventure. Devon is packed full of great things to see and do with attractions that will appeal to people of any age.
Take a look at some of the great things you could do when staying in our Devon cottages:
Perhaps the best known feature of Devon is the magnificent Dartmoor National Park. You can spend your entire holiday exploring all that this beautiful and magical National Park has to offer. With so many things to see and do, from hiking, sightseeing and pony trekking to exploring ancient castles, Dartmoor is a must visit destination for any Devon visitor.
Devon has not one National Park but two with Exmoor National Park located in the North of the county. Exmoor is not as big as Dartmoor, yet what it lacks in size it certainly makes up for in stunning scenery. The park is famous for its heather-strewn moors, lush woodland, towering cliffs and golden beaches where the park meets the sea. Exmoor certainly has what it takes to delight its visitors.
The capital of Devon is the historic city of Exeter, famed for its magnificent cathedral and ancient sights including the city walls that date back to Roman times. The city also has a wealth of shops, restaurants and bars, more than enough to keep you occupied day and night.
The English Riviera runs along 22 miles of beautiful South Devon coast and encompasses Torquay, Paignton and Brixham. The area has been hugely popular with tourists for centuries and still pulls in the crowds today with its mixture of golden sandy beaches, top attractions and great restaurants. Here are our cottages in South Devon.
At Paignton Zoo you can discover some of the worlds most amazing and rarest animals in what is rightly regarded as one of the very best Zoos in the UK and a great day out for the whole family.
Crealy Adventure Park is the South West's favourite family day out with a whole host of great attractions and rides for the whole family to enjoy including the Tidal Wave of Terror.
Visit the North Devon attraction, which is out of this world! The popular family attraction features the tallest, longest and fastest rollercoaster in Devon. Here are our cottages in North Devon.
Take a journey around the coast of the world at this innovative coastal zoo where you can see plants and animals in carefully created habitats.
Devon has wonderful beaches on both its north and south coast. The north has a number of wide open golden sandy beaches such as Saunton Sands and Woolacombe, which are popular for building sandcastles as well as surfing. The south of the county has the world famous Jurassic Coast, which was granted a World Heritage status because of the wealth of fossils to be found in the cliffs and beaches
