Reviews

Sea charm is a beautiful property We were 4 adults and 2 dogs and the place was very homely and spacious Fabulous location, only a 2-3 min drive to the beach 2-3 min drive to shops and restaurants Really recommend marina’s fish and chips Really recommend this property, just perfect for a little get away

Mrs N,

Lovely bungalow very spacious and clean in a quiet residential area, short drive to shops and beachfront , within walking distance if you don’t mind walking up hill , enclosed garden for pets and plenty of pet friendly beaches nearby, would recommend a visit I will definitely be returning in the future.

Miss N,

The extension part of the property has damp, the duvet on the bed constantly felt damp and there is damp on the walls and the windows are blown which doesn't help. The dryer doesn't work - we spent ages trying to get it to work on various cycles and even googled instructions but couldn't get it to run. The back garden is enclosed but NOT dog safe due to the gaps in the hedge and the small gate at the side which can be jumped over with ease by a medium sized dog. There are also gaps under the back gate that small dogs can get under. the driveway in front of the garage is not suitable for any vehicle medium sized upwards so we had to park in the street. The property location needs to advise that if walking you will need to go up and down some VERY steep hills - if my mother had come with us as first intended, she would never have managed to walk those. Garden maintenance people turned up while we were there and we couldn't let our dogs into the garden for a few hours which was inconvenient but they did fix the trellis that was broken and lying in the middle of the garden. The property itself if nicely decorated, bright from all the lovely windows and we felt very welcome. I would recommend this property but feel that especially the location information needs to be added in order for anyone with mobility issues to be aware.

Ms Eilise D,

The garden was a bit of a let down , the seating area was very tired, the slabs were filthy and they were full of weeds , they weren’t small weeds so had obviously be there a while, we did try pulling some up! The bed mattress was so uncomfortable and I appreciate that mattress vary for certain people but in all the accommodations we have stayed in this is the first time we’ve been away and ached the following morning. The cupboard under the sink in the main bathroom was dirty and the shelf under the sink in the kitchen was wet. The cupboard with the rotary stack in the corner of the kitchen was also dirty, looked like it had not been cleaned in a long time. Location to the beach/shops was great

Previous Customer,

We had a great time it was a lovely place and the cottage was very nice. The only things I could fault was the hill climb from the centre and there was no outside light at the back over the garden for the dog at night.

Mrs Hannah T,

Whilst the property was good, the level of equipment was less so. We like to cook meals and eat out occasionally. There was a shortage of pans and what might be considered as basic kitchen equipment.

Mr Kevin W,

Short elevated walk down to beach of 10 mins - this is very steep and not 10 mins. If there was an easier way to walk maybe that information with directions could be left. There was not much tourist information left. Washer/dryer - would only wash and not dry, could not find any instructions. There was only 2 clothes pegs to hang washing on the line. Good standard of cleanliness. Good TV service and wi fi. Parking good. Comfort and quality was good but this was let down somewhat as there was nothing left for us in the way of milk, etc, on arrival. Indeed there was only a small sponge, 2 dishwasher tablets and 1 tea towel, and some toilet roll. Overall we had a good holiday.

Mrs J E,

Great location although not suitable for anybody who is not mobile as it’s very hilly. There was a lack of general household items at the property for example no pegs for the washing line, no clothes airer - it just needs the final finishing touches providing to make it a home from home. The shower cubicle needs a thorough clean as there is mould in the corners. The 3 single beds were shocking to sleep on - they had poor quality mattresses. The sofa was very comfortable. We had an electrical issue on the last day and you were extremely helpful in resolving this. The bungalow was pretty basic in general.

Miss Karen B,

Parking - Off road very restricted, on road not suitable as bungalow is on corner. Pots and pans, dirty in need of replacement/deep clean. Whilst walk to town is short is quite steep and not suitable for all, this should be made clear in property info.

Mr Nigel H,

We all had a great well chilled out time at the cottage, even our dogs enjoyed the enclosed garden. It was very warm, cosy and quiet, will definitely book again.

Mrs Tricia H,

Location

Situated in an elevated position with sea views from the lounge and kitchen, just a 10-minute walk down to the beach and harbour at Saundersfoot. There is a Post Office within the Spar shop, a Tesco's, a butchers shop, a bakery serving fresh bread and a great selection of  restaurants and pubs.

The main beach in Saundersfoot has a dog restriction from the start of April till the end of September but the Glen beach which is the other side of the harbour allows dogs all year round. You can find a section of the coastal path from this beach which goes through the woods towards Tenby.

Tenby is a Victorian seaside town which is busy within the Summer months when the town is pedestranised and the cafes and pubs have tables and chairs in the main street offering a cafe culture vibe to the town.  Tenby hosts a number of sporting events in particular Iron Man, where competitors swim, cycle and run a marathon all in one day - it provides a great atmosphere to Tenby and the whole county.

There are a great range of  historical sites within the county from castles at Pembroke, Manorbier and Carew.  There is also an Iron Age Fort at Castell Henllys.

The Bosheston Lilyponds provide a relaxing walk with lovely views of the ponds with swans and otters.  A great place for a picnic!

Pembrokeshire is sure to inspire!
