There was great news for the South Pembrokeshire areas recently, as the region scooped three of the Wales in Bloom awards.

The awards took place in Rhyl and saw the area win in three categories. The ‘Small Country Town Trophy’ was the biggest win, with the town of Tenby getting first place with a Silver Gilt; the award was picked up by the Tenby in Bloom chairman, Clr. Mrs. Sue Lane. The region also saw awards in the ‘Hotels, Guest and Public Houses and Restaurants’ class and the ‘Caravans, Camping and Holiday Homes section for sites under 100 units’ category.

The wins were attributed to the hard work of the establishments and local communities in and around Tenby and will come as no surprise to anyone who’s recently enjoyed a stay in one of the region’s many Tenby Cottages, as the stunning floral displays have been brightening the town for many months now.
