Rhossili Bay in Swansea has beaten thousands of contenders to the title of the UK’s best beach, being awarded third place throughout the whole of Europe and even within the top ten beaches across the world. These amazing results will come as something of a surprise to Brits, who are used to their beaches being overshadowed by exotic coastlines.

The international poll, undertaken by TripAdvisor, is fantastic news for tourism in South West Wales, and highlights the astounding coastlines that border our shores. Rhossili Bay is a three mile stretch of white sand located on the Gower Peninsula; the beach is also a popular surfing spot due to the big waves that break on the north end.

If you fancy checking Rhossili Bay out for yourself this spring, there are plenty of Pembrokeshire cottages to choose from in the area.
