A writer has praised Pembrokeshire for being an inspirational destination for her mystery novels as well as being a great holiday destination. Crime writer Charlotte Williams recently wrote a travel piece for The Independent to promote the Welsh county whose landscape features in parts of her most recent novel.

Charlotte Williams has spent many childhood holidays in Pembrokeshire cottages and has learnt over the years that the area's stunning beaches, moors and forests offer something unique to her as a writer. Although she still enjoys holidays which are full of fantastic views, idyllic villages and local ales, she uses most of her holiday time to explore more and more of the county in her attempt to find great location for her novels.

Just as Agatha Christie highlighted the beautiful English Riviera in her crime stories, Charlotte Williams hopes to do the same with Pembrokeshire, bringing its natural rugged beauty out in her novels to be discovered by the general public.
