Folly Farm near Saundersfoot celebrates its 25th birthday this year, with the popular theme park announcing a host of new additions to help mark the occasion.

Just one of the new features yet to be unveiled is the penguin enclosure, which will become the new home for 15 endangered Humboldt penguins. Including a saltwater pool with an environmentally friendly pumping system, it is the first of its kind in South Wales and has been attracting attention from zoos across the world. Native to the coastal regions of Peru and Chile, the Humboldt are easy to spot thanks to the distinctive white border which runs around their black head.

Welcoming more than 380,000 visitors every year, Folly Farm undoubtedly provides one of the most popular days out in the region and offers great fun for all ages. If you are planning to treat your family to a stay in one of the nearby Saundersfoot cottages this summer, why not head to Folly Farm and meet the new residents?
