A paved Tudor Rose is set to become the starring feature in the town of Pembroke in South Wales, being organised as part of a sizeable improvement scheme across the town centre.

Pembroke has a strong bond with the house of Tudor, with the castle in the Welsh town being the birthplace of Henry VII – King of England from August 1485 until April 1509. Funded as part of a £3.2 million EU-backed scheme to help improve Pembroke and Pembroke Dock, it is hoped that the scheme will have drive regeneration of the town centre, inspiring business confidence and attracting more visitors in the process.

The scheme, which is expected to cost around £545,000, is set to begin at the end of this month and take up to eight months to complete. With this in mind, any one staying in the region on their Pembrokeshire cottage holidays during the autumn or winter will be able to benefit some of the improvements across the town.
