Organisers of the Tenby Lifeboat Week have celebrated the event as a fantastic success, with thousands of pounds being raised for the local lifeboat crew.

They were quick to offer a special word of thanks to the generosity of those who visited, with RNLI volunteer collectors raising a total of £2,336.70, funds which are sure to help the Tenby lifeboat crew continue their fantastic work in protecting the region's coastlines.

Running between July 29 & August 3, the event is also known as 'Flag Week' and has quickly become one of the most anticipated events on the region's calendar; it is a particularly favourable event for those on their Pembrokeshire cottage holidays, offering a fine example of great traditional festivals found across the county.

With the 2013 offering proving quite the triumph, it is believed that organisers are already drawing up plans for next year's instalment to ensure it's the biggest and best yet.
