A team of underwater cleaners from Pembrokeshire have had their efforts praised after appearing on BBC's The One Show last Friday. The volunteers, known as Neptune's Army of Rubbish Cleaners, aim to keep Pembrokeshire's coastline free of marine litter, making the area beautiful and safe for those visiting the area whilst staying in Pembrokeshire cottages.

The team of diving volunteers appeared on the show as Britain's only dedicated marine rubbish collecting team, who all understand that the Pembrokeshire coast, the only coastal national park in the UK, needs protecting and that it is our responsibility to maintain it.

Neptune's Army of Rubbish Cleaners began in 2005 and volunteer Davey Jones shocked presenters from The One Show when he listed the kinds of things that they pick up on their dives, including lawnmowers, shopping trolleys, computers and metres of broken fishing tackle. Thanks to this group of volunteers, Pembrokeshire's marine life and coastal areas are some of the safest and cleanest in the UK.
