What's On in Saundersfoot: February
The Pembrokeshire coast looks to bring joy to visitors and residents with a programme of events set to dispel all thoughts of dreary weather. With laughs and fun to be had, Saundersfoot proves Wales is the place to be this February.
Nothing warms you up during the winter cold like a heart-warming evening of comedy entertainment. Narberth’s Queen’s Hall plays host to 8 out of 10 Cats comedy writer Nick Doody and Leicester Mercury Comedian of the Year finalist Rosie Wilby on the 13th February. Described as the biggest and best comedy club in Pembrokeshire, this is one event you won’t want to miss during a break staying in holiday cottages in Saundersfoot. Doors open at 8pm with concessions at just £8 for a performance that the Independent describes as ‘brilliantly shooting down superstitions with songs and sucker-punchlines’.
St Valentine’s Party & Dance
Not forgetting that all-important February event, Saundersfoot shows how Valentine’s Day is done with the St Valentine’s Day Party & Dance. Regency Hall plays host to the event that is a must for all couples on a romantic retreat in Valentine’s Day Pembrokeshire holiday cottages, where music and dancing goes on until late. Doors open at 8pm on Friday 14th February as guests are to be welcomed by music from popular Cardiff band Thick as Thieves. Tickets are just £10 for the fun-filled night that puts on refreshments and a bar.
Narberth A Cappella Voice Festival
February sees the start of the beautiful Narberth A Cappella Voice Festival that takes the form of a series of events at the Queens Hall. The opening night kicks off with an impressive line-up on 21st February at 7.30pm with the vocal talent of Helen Chadwick and Caryl Parry Jones. Chadwick’s international reputation as a singer, composer and voice coach will ensure the event is booked up fast, so visit the Span Arts website to reserve your ticket at £12.
