What's On in Pembrokeshire: March
With the start of spring, Pembrokeshire looks to well and truly come alive with a host of events for its visitors and local residents to enjoy and get them out and about embracing the milder weather. From exquisite jazz to an Easter egg hunt to rival all others and keep the kids entertained for hours, there is no end to the fun to be found in Wales this March.
Pembrokeshire Women’s Festival
We start off with one just for the ladies. If you’re a mum looking to let the kids and dad head off on their own Pembrokeshire adventure one day during your Saundersfoot holiday cottage break, look no further than the Pembrokeshire Women’s Festival this 8th and 9th March. Held at the Picton Centre in Haverfordwest, there will be plenty to do over this spectacular weekend celebrating true Girl Power. If you want to bring the family along, however, they will be welcome too, with activities, crafts and challenges making this a weekend to remember.
Pepper’s Jazz Club anniversary
25-year-old musician David Pepper set up his own jazz club in Fishguard last year which is looking to celebrate its first anniversary with a jazz party like no other, welcoming the popular Lazy Habits and hip-hop group Sounds of Harlowe to nearby venue Ffwrn. The event will take place on Saturday 15th March and, with the use of the bigger venue, there will be room for plenty of jazz fans and will give festival-friendly Sound of Harlowe and Lazy Habits the space to perform.
Easter Egg Hunt
Not forgetting the kids, Haverfordwest’s Easter Egg Hunt at The Castle Square is set to be a real crowd-pleaser. Starting at 2pm on Sunday 30th March, it is set to get everyone in the mood, with Easter just around the corner. The hunt will go on until 4pm when judging for the Bonniest Bonnet competition will take place, which is sure to be fun for all the family staying in any of the Pembrokeshire cottages to rent nearby.
