Best summer events in Pembrokeshire

Pembrokeshire is blessed with a number of natural attractions, but away from the beautiful beaches and countryside visitors can also enjoy a number of events and festivals that are taking place this summer.

From art exhibitions to music festivals, there will be plenty for holidaymakers to do and if you are staying in a Pembrokeshire holiday cottage this summer then read on to see what amazing events are taking place over the next few months.

Narberth Food Festival

Sticking with the food theme, the Narberth Food Festival, which takes place from 26th-27th September, offers visitors a great couple of days out.

The festival has a range of food stalls selling some of the most delicious foods that you will taste, live music, street theatre talks and performances as well as cooking demonstrations from local chefs.

If that’s not enough then there are a number of free children’s activities too. The event really is great for families!
 

Fishguard International Music Festival

Founded back in 1969, the Fishguard International Music Festival has gone from strength to strength and is now one of the best classical music events in Wales.

The 2015 festival is taking placing at a number of different venues across Pembrokeshire from 20th-30th July and will feature a number of top acts in the classical music world including the BBC National Orchestra of Wales, pianist duo Roscoe Donohoe, and the Welsh National Opera Orchestra.

Aberjazz

The 12th Fishguard Jazz ‘n’ Blues Festival runs from 27th-31st August and is five days of great jazz and blues music around Fishguard’s cafes, pubs and open spaces.

In total there will be 31 acts and six workshops that visitors can attend over the August bank holiday. This year’s headline acts include; Polar Bear, Paul Lamb and the King Snakes, Jodie Marie, Huw Warren’s Trio Brasil, Emily Saunders and many more.
 

Tenby Arts Festival

The Tenby Arts Festival is now in its 24th year and the 2015 instalment will see the famous Cantemus choir come back for a third year in a row to perform.

The popular festival will feature brass bands, book fairs, street theatre plays, a sandcastle competition, jazz music and lots, lots more.
