The Saundersfoot Harbour Festival is nearly here. It is time to celebrate the beauty of the harbour and the amazing Pembrokeshire coast. There will be activities everywhere – on the beach, in the sea and throughout the harbour.

The festival is an ideal time for families. With Saundersfoot holiday cottages available nearby, visitors can spend the day exploring the festival and the evening listening to great live music, all just a short walk from your cottage.

The Saundersfoot Harbour is known as the jewel in the crown of Pembrokeshire. A focal point and tourist destination for many, the festival will show off the colourful fishing boats and history of the village.

Adventures in the sea and land

At the Harbour Festival, there will be something for everyone to enjoy. There will be kayak trips that will explore the coastline and you can even have a go at kayak fishing as well. Local rowing clubs will be on hand to give you the opportunity to try out longboat rowing and, for would-be sailors, the Saundersfoot Sailing Club will provide sailing opportunities on their safety boats.

On the beach, there will be sand castle competitions and plenty of time to relax in a chair while the kids enjoy the sand.  More adventurous visitors can explore the beach. In the rock pools and shallows, there is loads of sea life to find.

And what festival would be left without face painting, arts and crafts, a Punch and Judy theatre and nautical history demonstrations at the nearby Darwin Centre?

Dine and dance into the evening

Event organisers are putting together a seafood BBQ on the harbour and there will be live music as well. Saundersfoot has developed a reputation for some of the best food and dining in Pembrokeshire. Restaurant specials and festival entertainment will surely make it a great evening.
