Reviews

There may well have been sea or coastal views before the garden and trees across a field matured, but when we stayed (May) there were only mere glimpses from upstairs because the trees etc., were in full leaf. We feel it is misleading to call the tiled WC with a shower and sink in the garage a "wet room". Not only would it be cold in winter, while advertised as being accessible, there is a step from the kitchen and again into the room. Added to this, the remaining shower upstairs should not be classed as a walk-in shower. There is a considerable step. However, our main disappointment was with how clean the property was when we arrived. Cobwebs in a property of this type are to be expected, but not cobwebs heavy with dust or signs they have been there for some time. Descending the wooden stairs, there was a clear distinction between the central area where people walk and the sides of each step. Some of which included gatherings of dust and hair from previous occupants. We thought perhaps the owner had been rushed but when we saw the grill above the shower and your note indicating it was Original Cottages that carry out the housekeeping, we started to feel we had paid too much for this property. Even more so, when we happily stripped the bed and found the mattress to be stained, despite there being a mattress protector. Suffice to say it was not somewhere we were comfortable enough to walk around bare-foot. We have photographs if you would like to see them.

Mrs Linda C,

Location

Manorbier is steeped in history with its own Norman Castle which often hosts fetes and battles, a good village shop and post office, an excellent pub serving good food, a magnificent Church overlooking the castle and beach.

Manorbier beach is great for children being sandy with rock pools, a small stream and the surf is good too for body boarding, and safe bathing all within a 10 minute walk. The National Park Coastal path runs along Manorbier Shoreline back towards Tenby and onwards to Stackpole Quay, two of the prettiest walks along the Pembrokeshire coastal path.

Tenby is just a 5 minute drive famous for its cobbled streets and the walled town, it also has two good golf courses, and boat trips going daily for fishing and sight seeing.

There are lots of things to do from adventure & wildlife parks to creative cafes, coasteering to jet ski safaris - there is something for everybody here in Pembrokeshire.
