Reviews

Lovely apartment with lovely views of North beach. Close to everything.

Mrs F,

The property itself was in an ideal location in the centre of town overlooking the sea. When we first arrived the key was in a locked key safe but there was also another key in a broken key safe. The majority of the accommodation was ok but several things let it down. When we looked at the patio area it had not been cleaned with cigarette butts on the ground and some cushions off the settee left outside witch seagulls had left droppings on. There was also an item of clothing and a crisp packet on the floor left by the previous occupant presumably. There was also a couple of logs off the inside fire decoration that someone had attempted to burn left there also. The patio furniture could have done with a wipe over as well. Because of these reasons we never used the outside space. In the bedroom there was one wardrobe for our clothes but this had been completely filled with bedding, duvets, pillows and even curtains . The shower room was clean but I did have to bleach the showerhead as it was full of black mould. Also the toilet roll holder was broken and in pieces under the sink. In the kitchen the cooker and microwave were clean and worked fine but there was a shelf hanging off the wall and we weren't sure if the fridge was working properly as there was no light on and it didn't always feel cold with the freezer compartment looking like it had defrosted some days. There was a wire draining rack for the sink but nothing underneath it so in the past people had used it and water had water obviously run over the worktop and warped the cupboard doors. Some of the cushions on the settee had marks on and as I said before the were some left on the patio. I would have washed these but there was no washing powder available for the washing machine. There was a set of drawers in the living area that appeared to have plaster splashed up it and not cleaned off Overall the property was acceptable but we felt some details let it down. It seemed that little thought had gone into the requirements or experience of the guests. There was very little information in the welcome pack with no information about the area and no recommendations of places the eat or sights to see. We have rented numerous holiday properties all over the country and all of them have this type of information as standard. They have also provided a small supply of basic items for your arrival such as hand wash, washing up liquid, tea, coffee, milk. Some properties have even left homemade cake, biscuits, bread, butter etc. We wouldn't expect a cupboard full of supplies but some of the basics would have been nice but there was nothing at all. I think the main thing that would deter us from using your company again would be the £25 extra charge we had to pay when so many of the items in this property needed attention

Mr Shane S,

Location

This is a basement apartment of a towering Georgian house, accessed via outside stairs. The garden overlooks the harbour. All the restaurants, small shops pubs and coffee shops are on your doorstep, as are Tenby's fabulous beaches.

Tenby hosts the Ironman Wales triathlon each September (you can watch the swim section from the garden) and it has become an activity hub for other events, including the popular long course weekend in June when athletes follow the Iron Man course and disciplines over 3 consecutive days. The atmosphere in Tenby around these events is electric and infectious. Many people have visited as fans, only to return as competitors.

The area has spectacular beaches, several of which are within walking distance; only a short drive away are other gems such as the award winning beaches at Barafundle, Freshwater West, Broad Haven and Manorbier.
