Wisemans Bridge

Wisemans Bridge is a small coastal hamlet near to the popular seaside coastal resort of Saundersfoot and linked by a series of tunnels.  These were for the old dram way which carried iron and coal from Stepaside through Wisemans Bridge to the harbour at Saundersfoot.  The Dram way is no longer used today but provides a great cycle track between these locations.

The Wisemans Bridge Inn is at the far end of the rocky /sandy beach and has an outside seating area with stunning views of the sea and coastline.  The inn is cosy with lots of original features with a modern conservatory restaurant with sea views and serving a good selection of dishes.

Between Wisemans Bridge and Saundersfoot is the small beach Coppet Hall which has ‘Coast’ a dining experience not to be missed.  Will Holland, the Head Chef producing locally sourced ingredient’s and providing exceptional meals. 

A short drive from Wisemans Bridge is the Folly Farm home to rhinos, bats, Meerkats, flamingos, favourite farmyard animals and giant rabbits just to name a few.  An indoor fairground provides thrills and excitement with an indoor and outdoor adventure play centres to keep the children amused.

If you enjoy boat trips whilst on your holiday, then Tenby harbour is the place to go.  There are trips to Caldey Island – home to the Cistercian monks and there is the Seal Safari which is suitable for all ages.  If you like to be in control, then why not go on a jet ski safari.  You can ride on your own or with a passenger and the trip lasts 45 minutes where you will see some stunning sights of Tenby and the rest of the surrounding coastline.

Further around the coastline is Manorbier which has a great beach and also a castle which sits overlooking the beach and alongside it runs the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path.  There is a café onsite or alternatively take a picnic!
