It’s officially summer and the beautiful county of Pembrokeshire is looking to welcome the season with a range of events that show the area’s culture and community spirit.

Whether you’re booking a Pembrokeshire holiday cottage for a coastal break or to explore the area’s tranquil towns, there is an event to suit you and your family this month.

Sand Angel event

What could help you remember your Pembrokeshire holiday more than joining the local community in a Guinness World Record attempt? Well that’s exactly what is taking place on Freshwater West on the 6th June as the community holds the Sand Angel event, which hopes to break the world record for the number of people making sand angels on the beach simultaneously. Following the record attempt, everyone is invited to take part in what is hoped to be the biggest beach clean Wales has ever seen. The event starts at 10.30am so be there early to get involved.

Milford Haven founders day fun day

Also taking place on the 6th June is the Milford Haven Founders day fun day, an event that is sure to get the whole family excited for the activities in store. Celebrated in the town centre, there will be displays, bouncy castles and a coconut shy among other fun stalls to get involved in. As well as the event the Milford Haven Market will also be taking place, so there will be plenty of bargains to be had for those staying nearby in Tenby accommodation.

Charity summer ball

Finally, the evening of the 6th June will give way to a spectacular event indeed: the Charity summer ball. Admission is £35 and by ticket only, with proceeds donated to the local Macmillan nurses. Formalwear is expected, with black tie for the gentlemen and long dresses/ball gowns for the women, and a charity auction and raffle is also to be held on the night. Tickets include food and entertainment, so everything is taken care of for you to dance the night away.
