Pembrokeshire comes alive within the Summer months with a fantastic selection of fun events for the whole family to enjoy.  Here we have put together a listing of things to do whilst you are on your holiday.  If you are still undecided about the area to holiday in then we hope that Pembrokeshire will inspire you.

22 July - Excalibur at Pembroke Castle - An evening outdoor theatre performance of king Arthur suitable for the whole family. Ticket prices are £10 adult & £7 for a child, doors open at 5.30pm and ends 8pm. 

23rd July – 3rd September at Stackpole Quay -  enjoy kayaking and Coasteering trips.  You will need to book these activities as it is popular on 01646 661425. The minimum age for a child is 8 years old.  The sessions start at 9-30 and end at 4.30 pm.  It’s an exhilarating experience and you will get to view the coastline from a different angle.

25 July - Crab catching at Solva Harbour - 10am start, lines & bait are supplied. Families welcome, children must be with an adult. Dogs on leads allowed. Ends midday. Please meet at Solva car park (Charges apply).

25 July - Fairy Tale Fun at Castell Henllys -  2–3-30pm, learn how to make a fairy headdress or a wizard’s wand. Great fun for the little ones.

26 July - 100 years of Roald Dahl - An arty workshop – be creative - you must pre book as places are limited, contact 01437 720392.

26 July - Pond Safari at Colby Woodland Gardens - family fun all day.

27 July - The Panic Circus  - Prof. Panic & his travelling circus helpers, plan a circus workshop, learn how to spin plates, juggle, stilt walk, theres even a Punch & Judy show. Starts 11am – Finishes at 5pm. Venue: Pembroke Castle.

30 July - Grand National Soap Box Derby at Upper Race Course, Haverfordwest. The fun start at 12midday – 5pm.

30 July - Clarbeston Road Show - Horse & rider competitons & a Dog show, starts at 9.30am.

31 July - Tenby 10K - 11am start in Tenby, no entries on the day so pre booking essential.  If your not competing then there is a great atmosphere in Tenby so come along and give your support.

1 August - Fabulous Falcons at Carew Castle - with flying displays, start at 11am – 4pm.

1 August - Seashore Safari - Manorbier beach starts at 1 – 2-30pm, discover fascinating wildlife and natural wonders on the shore.

3 August - Knight School at Carew Castle - Starts at 11am, have a go archery, learn to do a bit of sword fighting & essential skills to be a knight.

4 August - Rock Pool Picnic at Porth Clais - 11 am start. Walk the coastal path with the coastal ranger to Porthlyski. Families welcome, children to be accompanied by an adult. Dogs on leads welcome. Meet Port Clais National Trust Car Park (SA62 6RR), ends 4.30 pm.

5 – 7 August - The Edge Festival at Solva - a celebration of art, music, food, sport & literature.

6 August - Pembroke Town & County show - There are competitions for the farmers with their sheep, cattle, goats, horse & rider events, the crowd favourite - terrier racing, and a fairground.

7,14,21 & 28 August - Summer Spectacular at Tenby harbour, every Sunday afternoon into the evening. Live music in the harbour, stalls, bouncy castle. A great party atmosphere.

18 August - 50 Things to do before your 11 3/4s at Southwood Farm  - Start 10.30am with lots of activities for all the family, ranger walks, farm restoration work. Dogs on leads welcome. End 3.30pm. Admission charge applies. Free parking.

19 August - Falconry at Manorbier Castle - falcon flying displays.

24 August - Martletwy Show - A chance for farmers to show their sheep and other livestock, horse & rider eventing, a dog show, and stalls.

25 -29 August - Jazz & Blues Festival at Fishguard Theatr Gawn and other locations in and around Fishguard.

These are just a taste of some of the activities and events going on within Pembrokeshire.  There really is something for everyone.
