Being able to take your faithful companion with you on holiday can improve the experience ten-fold, and this is why we have a wide range of pet friendly cottages in Pembrokeshire and surrounding locations on the South Wales coastline.

With a wide selection of truly spectacular beaches, long expanses of coastal walks and fascinating heritage sites in and around the area of Pembrokeshire, it’s only fair that your pet can come along too. We are happy to provide you all with a comfortable and cosy base for you all to return to once you’ve finished exploring this fantastic area of Wales.

Tenby has four superb beaches - these being North, South, Harbour and Castle beaches all do have dog restrictions imposed from beginning of May until the end of September. However, to the far side of South beach is Penally beach accessed via the railway station, which accepts dogs all year round, it's a sand and shingle beach backed by dunes, so your dog will have a wonderful time. There is a coastal path from this beach leading to Lydstep approx a couple of miles trek, it will not only exercise the dog but also provide you with stunning coastal views.

Saundersfoot is a lovely coastal village with a fabulous sandy beach which does impose the dog ban although - The Glen beach which is on the other side of the harbour is dog friendly. This again is a sandy beach - backed by cliffs, there are also rock pools for your dog to explore.

A great day out with the dog is on a boat trip over to Caldey Island (about 20 minutes) that's if your dog will sit still on a boat? Caldey Island is home to the Cistercian monks and it's where they make chocolate and perfume - ideal gifts for the family left back at home. Llys y Fran has over 6 miles of walks around the reservoir, however the dog must be kept on the lead. There are lots of woodlands within the county and another area which is the dog would enjoy is Canaston/Minwear Woods.

St Govans Country Inn near to Bosheston Lily Ponds serves home cooked traditional foods and will allow dogs within a certain area of the pub. The Swan in Little Haven overlooking the beach accepts a dogs and so too does The Harbour Inn at Solva - there are many more.

Therefore there really is no reason your dog should not accompany you on your next holiday to Pembrokeshire. We have lots of dog friendly properties - please do take a look.
