Kilgetty

Kilgetty is a small village north of the seaside coastal resort of Saundersfoot.  It center’s around the main road through the village which has a selection of shops (Co-op), Chemist, takeaways (fish and chips & Indian) and pubs.  It also has its own railway station for ease of access.  It is a fantastic base to explore the delights of the Pembrokeshire as it is close to many of the attraction and activities which will make your stay memorable.

The nearest beach to Kilgetty is Saundersfoot which is a super sandy beach with picturesque harbour. The main beach in one direction leads onto Coppet Hall with the Coast restaurant headed by chef Will Holland and then onto Wisemans Bridge through the old mining tunnels. In the other direction Saundersfoot has a second beach known as Glen beach and this allows dogs throughout the year.  There is a coastal path walk from here up into the woods and then leading into the Victorian seaside resort of Tenby.

Its only one mile to the fantastic attraction of Folly Farm where you can spend your day looking at Lions, giraffes, penguins, meerkats and lots of other animals, reptiles and birds.  There is also a great indoor Victorian fair and play areas to keep the children entertained especially on days when the weather is not so good.

If you fancy something different try the Overhang Centre in Tenby, situated on the Castle beach entrance.  Instructor led sessions in climbing is great fun for children, adults and groups.
