Description

Beech Tree Cottage is a traditional cottage in an ideal location in the heart of Saundersfoot village, only a two minutes walk to the beach, local shops and amenities. This deceptively large terraced house has a lovely, decent size kitchen that's light and airy, with enough space for the whole family, and a beautiful sitting room to relax in. It benefits from having two enclosed, secure gardens, at the front and rear, which provides ample space for relaxation and a chance to escape the hustle and bustle of the village. Both are perfect for the children and your pet to run around and play, and both have garden furniture suitable for some al fresco dining. The property comes with secure, hassle free parking in the form of a large double garage at the rear, ensuring easy arrival for all and plenty of storage space for bikes and other equipment; and the four bedrooms and three bathrooms, two of which are en-suites, allows for flexible sleeping arrangements and gives more than enough space for everyone to get ready for the day - be that sunbathing or swimming at the bustling, sandy beach or exploring the wonders of Pembrokeshire.

A short stroll to the centre of this lively village and you'll be greeted by an abundance of cafes, bars, pubs, restaurants and wonderful little gift shops. The beach is a fantastic place to be during the day where it is full of life. Watersports is available here or you may wish to go to the harbour to do some fishing. Bikes are available to be hired from here too so you can all head out to explore the area on bikes, or you may wish to walk part of the Wales Coast Path where you'll come across some great views. There are many beaches in this area that are worth a visit - head to the pretty seaside town of Tenby where there are 3 lovely beaches, or drive a little further into Pembrokeshire to visit beautiful beaches such as Barafundle Bay Beach or Freshwater East Beach. There are superb attractions suitable for all the family in this part of Wales too such as Folly Farm Adventure Park and Zoo, Oakwood Theme Park and Dinosaur Park, as well as National Trust locations and castles.

  • Bedroom 1: Single bed, bedside drawers, chair, hanging space. En-suite: Shower room with a large shower cubicle (new), toilet, hand basin, heated towel rail.

First Floor

  • Bedroom 2: Single bed, drawers, open storage with hanging for clothes.
  • Bedroom 3: 2 single beds, bedside drawers, hanging space, drawers. 
  • Bedroom 4: King size bed, bedside drawers, fitted wardrobes, Smart TV. En-suite: Large en-suite with a corner bath, large shower cubicle, toilet, hand basin, vanity unit and a mirror, storage cupboard.
  • Bathroom: Large family bathroom with a bath with shower above, toilet and hand basin.

Outside:

  • Front garden: Long, enclosed, secure garden with a lawned area, footpath from the gate to the front door and a patio with a table with a bench and 3 chairs with cushions.
  • Rear garden: Enclosed rear garden with small patio area to the side of the house with a washing line, footpath with steps leading to a long, lawned area with a table to seat 6 with a bench and chairs with cushions, the footpath continues to the garage door at the end of the garden.

Plenty of space and the house contained everything you'd need for a family holiday. The garage is a huge bonus in terms of guaranteed parking and the amount of beach kit available to borrow. Plenty of toilets/bathrooms was really valued and the size of bedrooms and communal areas meant we had a wonderful break. Location is ideal for the shops and the beach and the two spacious gardens is (yet another) benefit of this cottage.

A lovely, well-equipped property in a fantastic location. Communication with the owners was easy and the information folder included lots of useful details about the house and local area. The double garage was very useful as parking in Saundersfoot can be tricky (and adds up!). If you want to go to Stonecrab and/or Lan y Mor restaurants I would suggest booking before you arrive in Saundersfoot.

We thoroughly enjoyed our week at Beech Tree Cottage. The cottage was well presented, clean and tidy. The kitchen is spacious and well equipped. The dinning area easily seats 6 people. The lounge is comfortable with a large TV and loads of seating. The four bedrooms and three bathrooms are a great boon for a family group. The cottage has two well maintained gardens, front and rear where you can sit and enjoy the sun at any time of day. There is a huge two car garage which is brilliant as parking in Saundersfoot is at a premium. Last but not least, the property is less than a five minute walk to the beach and the town. The communication by Original Cottages and Sue Carbis was very good. All in all I would not hesitate to highly recommend this holiday cottage to anyone.

What a wonderful find , Beech Cottage is beautiful, has everything you need, comfortable, spotlessly clean and in a brilliant location … we had a wonderful week here over Christmas, the decorations and welcome pack were very appreciated and a nice touch … the downstairs bedroom and bathroom are perfect for older or disabled guest , was perfect for my elderly mum … Saundersfoot is lovely ,plenty of good quality shops, bars and places to eat We will be back to Beech Cottage .
