Reviews

A wonderful property, with great location to all beaches, in a quiet road, and inside the main old town. Clean, comfortable, with useful hall for clothes, pushchairs etc.

Mr B,

Location

Shipwrights Cottage is in an ideal location in the centre of Tenby (Dinbych y Pysgod), a picturesque coastal town with sandy beaches, shops, restaurants etc. There is also the working harbour with kiosks selling tours or fishing trips around the coastline and across to Caldey Island - home to the Cistercian monks. You can purchase chocolates and perfumes that are made on the island as souvenirs or gifts for family back at home.  Many local attractions nearby to suit everyone from Oakwood Adventure Park and Folly Farm to historical sites, Castles, Gardens and miles of beautiful cliff path walks for those who will enjoy the Pembrokeshire scenery. Beach only 200 yards away.

Tenby has award winning beaches and lots of history attached to it, with its 13th Century walls which still can be seen today.  The five arches gate can also be seen and is part of the old castle walls. During the Summer weeks it holds a 'Spectacular' on the local harbour with live music and entertainment finishing with a fantastic firework display.

A short drive from Tenby is Saundersfoot,  a coastal village with a long sandy beach, harbour and shops to buy souvenirs.  There are cafes and ice cream kiosks for refreshments after sun bathing on the sandy beaches or try your hand at the watersports on offer.

If it's a relaxing beach holiday or a more adventurous holiday Tenby is the ideal place to be with something for everyone.
