Reviews

The cottage was fantastic, loved every minute of our stay. Well equipped, very spacious and comfortable. Owner is a lovely chap, very friendly which was great. Nothing to much trouble. Loved the little village and the local pub was great, all very friendly, Sunday lunch was amazing and good value. Cottage was a great base and very peaceful.

Miss W,

We had such a gorgeous week at this property. Beautiful setting and great location for all local amenities and attractions. We love Saundersfoot and being 10 min drive from the beach was fantastic. (15 mins to paddock bakery is a great treat-breakfast pastry location, please google!). Didn't get a chance to sample the local Inn as we have young feral kids but the menu looked divine and would have been great to be able to eat and drink without the need for a designated driver some nights. The owner was welcoming on arrival and pointed out some nice things in the area for the kids (clarkenhill farm was a nice cheap day out and a great reccy so thank you). They live next door however the property itself feels private and has a lovely large driveway with some outside dining options (would have used had the weather been warmer in the AM). Owner also pointed out a private entrance at the back of the property to a small children's play area and field for playing which was very much welcomed by my kids and they went to play there most days. The facilties in the home were of a great standard and the downstairs WC a welcome addition. All of the appliances were in good working order, and the washing machine and dryer in particular were wonderfully efficient. ..aware this is is such a mum comment but it matters when you get to go home with a suitcase of clean clothes! The beds were comfortable and we all had great night sleep consistently. The water pressure incredibly powerful, which was welcomed to wash the grime of the beach away after a long day.. and a nice big bath! Thank you for a lovely stay in one of the most gorgeous parts of the country. - The French Family

Mrs F,

Great property in an excellent location. We had a really nice time.

Mr M,

We had a wonderful stay at The Barn, The owner Frank was a great bloke and was very knowledgable about the local area, nothing was to much trouble, a lovely little welcome pack was appreciated. The property is outstanding with everything you need, the furnishings are luxurious and extremely comfortable., I would not hesitate to recommend this property and look forward to staying in the future. I found the directions to the property a bit confusing so this is what I would suggest following, it may get you to the property quicker, after driving past the Jeffreyston sign the road bends a few times until you come to houses on your right, keep driving until you see a bus stop on your right, take an immediate right turn straight after the bus stop and the property is 3 houses down on your right hand side through wooden gates. Great place!!!

Mr T,

Overall, this is a perfect property to stay in with the location being so quiet and central for the surrounding area. We met Frank once and he was very helpful. Saundersfoot is just delightful which was pretty close and easy to access. I have made a comment above which is definitely worth noting as it was enough to put us off returning but such a simple one to rectify. I'm not going to answer the question below as it would depend...I would recommend it as long as it was in a cleaner state but otherwise no.

Mrs A,

We loved our stay at The Barn. So peaceful, comfortable, centrally located and beautifully furnished. Host very friendly and helpful. We would love to return.

Ms L,

The barn is a very comfortable and spacious place to stay. The kitchen and utility are exceptionally well equipped and the wood burner adds to the cosy atmosphere. It is an ideal base to visit nearby Tenby and surrounding Pembrokeshire. The owners live nearby and are very welcoming, providing useful information about the local area. There was a welcome pack when we arrived. The pub is within walking distance and has good reviews but it doesn't open every day, so check before you go! We enjoyed a very relaxing holiday in this peaceful location.

Mrs S,

Great location for exploring the beautiful coastline.

Mr B,

The cottage is decorated to a very high standard comfortable furniture and a very well equipped kitchen didn’t want to leave very trusting

Ms M,
