Reynalton

Reynalton is a small village in Pembrokeshire set amidst beautiful countryside but within a short drive to the many attractions and beaches.  It’s a great base in which to stay in a peaceful and tranquil setting but still within a short car journey to the hustle and bustle of the popular coastal resorts of Tenby and Saundersfoot.

The village of Reynalton is a short distance North off the A477, which travels West to Pembroke which is steeped in history and features the remains of a mediaeval Castle – which is well worth a visit.  You can get a guide to take you on an informative tour around the grounds and there is a café for refreshments.

There are lots of lovely beaches dotted around the Pembrokeshire coastline, Freshwater East is a large sandy beach backed by sand dunes.  It has a car park and toilet facilities – this beach is also dog friendly all year.  Barafundle is accessed via the cliff tops with spectacular scenery, you can park at Stackpole Quay, where there are lots of watersports on offer from kayaking to Coasteering!

Reynalton is just a short drive to the many attractions which will keep the children entertained.  Folly Farm provides a great day out for the family with a variety of animals to see from lions, Meerkats, camels, penguins and so many more.  There are also adventure play areas both indoor and outdoor, so a great place to visit when the weather is not quite so good.  There is also a fun fair with a carousel, a ghost train and the caterpillar!

For the teenagers there is Oakwood Theme park which has a number of white knuckle rides, Megaphobia, Vertigo and Speed are just a few, there are other attractions onsite for younger children.  In the Summer months Oakwood has its ‘After Dark’ nights where the rides are illuminated and there is music and a party atmosphere.

The Victorian town of Tenby is a good place to meander around the shops, maybe have a meal in one of the many cafes, restaurants or pubs.  In the Summer months the main road into the centre of town is pedestrianised and the cafes etc. put their tables and chairs in the street creating a great atmosphere.  There are three main beaches where you can hire deck chairs, take part in watersports or purchase tickets at the harbour for boat trips around the beautiful coastline (weather permitting).

Reynalton is perfectly positioned for a fantastic getaway!
