Heatherton – a World of Activity
FREE Admission – yes thought that would grab your attention! You only pay if you actually play. This is excellent for parents who are quite happy to watch their children take part in the wonderful range of fun activities on offer. Don’t forget to take along you dog as they are more than welcome as long as they are kept on a lead at all times, water is also provided outside the main reception. So, it really is a fun day out for the whole family.

St Dwynwen’s Day is celebrated on 25th January – a Welsh version of St Valentine’s Day. Dwynwen was a beautiful Welsh princess who was most unlucky in love. The story begins with Dwynwen falling in love with a prince called Maelon Dafodrill, but her father had other ideas, he wanted her to marry someone else. Dwynwen loved Maelon and was so upset she could not marry him so she begged God to make her forget him.

Drive into the large car park (can get pretty busy in the height of the summer), the National trust owns the car park and at the entrance the attendant is there ready to take your £5 fee, a reduced price of £2 is required if you go into the car park after 2pm. (Free if you’re a NT member)
